As promised, I started reading a new book tonight. I've manged to get through the first two chapters of a fellow AHWA member and Australian Horror & Dark Fiction Webring groupie's novel, one Alan Baxter's RealmShift.
I've also been sent his second book MageSign, so it'll be an interesting exercise to see how the author develops both his art and the characters involved.
Alan began life as a self-published author and has now branched out into having his own independent publishing company - which, of course, publishes his books. The third thing of interest will be whether these titles stand up in regards to quality when compared with other books I've read which have been through the normal, big publishing house process.
Stay tuned to read the reviews as they appear on HorrorScope in the not too distant future.

I look forward to hearing about this one. Not that I don't look forward to most things you write about. :)
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what you say too. I know Alan of another writer's forum I'm a member of - Scribe's.
