Dreaming Done

Finished another version of Dreaming, well, finished the new ending to Dreaming. This has been like pulling teeth, but it's done. I've sent to a friend for comment who helped me brainstorm the new idea for the ending. If that comes back okay, I'll probably just submit it on to the anthology and see how we get on.

Tonight is reading night, but I'm going to critique another friend's story before I settle down to RealmShift. I've been promising it for a while now and keep getting side tracked. Time to fix that tonight.

I've got to try and get another assignment done Thursday and Friday.

Still, I'm happy to have managed the 1000+ words I did on finishing/rewriting/editing Dreaming.

  1. You know the e-mail if you want another pair of eyes on the story.

  2. Congratulations on finishing Dreaming. That's a huge accomplishment.

  3. Congrats! That's a good word count.

  4. It's a good feeling when you finish and even better when you finish something that feels like pulling teeth, as you say. I sometimes think the stories that give you the most grief turn out to be the best ones.

  5. Jamie - Just running it by the person I brainstormed the ending with to see if I got it or if it still needs tweaking. Once I'm happy, I'll send it on over.

Helen - Hi Helen, good to see you're still popping in occasionally. I'm sorry i haven't left any comments on your recent networking week. I've had a very strange week here.

    KC - Thanks.

D - I'm not sure on that one. All the stories I've had accepted/published have flown from my fingers, gone through a number of revisions and I've been happy with when they were gone. I still have issues with this one. The original story came easy enough, but the ending needed to be scraped and done again - that was like pulling teeth. I'm still not sure I got it right. We'll see I guess...
