My little girl has a bout of tonsillitis keeping me at home at the moment, so I thought I'd try and make some progress.
Today I emailed out comments and suggestions to two writers-in-arms, finished reading MageSign (review to come - maybe tomorrow), resubmitted Wamphyri which received a rejection yesterday, and revised and submitted Dreaming to the Blackness Within Anthology.
Quite a productive day all in all.
Time for bed.

Sorry to hear about Wamphyri. Good luck with Dreaming.
ReplyDeleteTonsillitis sucks. I had mine taken out when I was four. I still remember the hospital visit in minute detail, right down to the cars in the parking lot, just outside my window.
Sweet dreams!
ReplyDeleteI hope your little girl feels better soon. My brother used to get tonsillitis all the time. I had my tonsils out (like Jamie, at four years old, and I too can remember everything about it, even the books my mom read to me afterwards).
ReplyDeleteI've still got my tonsils - and my appendix. Only the wisdom teeth have left the building.
ReplyDeleteI received some nice comments back about Wamphyri and apparently it went to a vote before missing out.
This was the short story I wrote for my final assignment last year. I know it's a little predictable, and very much part of my writing style before I branched out with pieces like Swirls in Obsidian and Dreaming, but I still have a soft spot for it and would like to earn some real money from it - I'd be happy with just a couple of bucks, as long as it's payment.
I need to start looking at getting published in higher paying markets. I should be moving forward. Being published is nice - getting paid is better.
Paying markets are good. Even a buck is appreciated. I am just starting into them and it really does make the process more enjoyable. :)
